FLATFOOT DANCE COMPANY is opening up its access spaces to run dance workshops specifically aimed at adult (over 16yrs) dancers with both intellectual and physical disabilities.

FLATFOOT is both nationally and internationally renowned for spearheading dance programmes that work on inclusive dance practices and are looking to encourage new dancers to come and experience their work.

Workshop One will be held on 20 June 10am – 1pm. This one-off workshop is aimed at dancers with intellectual disabilities, and specifically (though not exclusively) to continue with FLATFOOT’s 7-year programme of working with dancers with Down Syndrome. (Age 16 and over only.)

Workshop Two will be held on: 22 & 23 June:  2pm – 4.30pm (both days) and dancers must be free for both sessions. These two joint workshops on 22 and 23 June are aimed at dancers with physical disabilities, and dancers who are wheelchair users are definitely encouraged. (Age 16 and over only.)

Interested participants with a disability and interested in joining these open and free dance workshops, must register. To book a place at these workshops email FLATFOOT DANCE COMPANY on Lootsl@ukzn.ac.za  telling them who you are, which workshop you wish to participate in and, after this, FLATFOOT will make contact to confirm your space and to talk about any special access needs you may have.
