JOHANNESBURG – President Cyril Ramaphosa has congratulated Presidential Working Group on Disability (PWGD) Member, Nkosinathi Ndlovu.
Ndlovu won the Global 2022 Henry Viscardi Achievement Awards in New York City, United States, on Saturday the 3rd of December 2022, which marked International Day of Persons with Disabilities globally.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has added his voice to the list of leaders representing disability, government, civil society and business sectors congratulating Nkosinathi Ndlovu on winning the international awards in United States.
About Nkosinathi Ndlovu
He is a Disability Rights activist. He hails from Ka-Nyamazane, City of Mbombela in Mpumalanga and his contribution in our political landscape is massive.
In his keynote address, at the Economic Summit of and for Persons with Disabilities, at Radisson Convention Centre, Johannesburg, Ramaphosa said (there was no better way to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities this past Saturday than to hear about the recipients of the global 2022 Henry Viscardi Achievement Awards.
This year, among the six recipients of this Awards was Nkosinathi Freddy Ndlovu, a member of our
Presidential Working Group on Disability. This award is given to distinguished visionaries, role models and advocates making a profound impact within the disability community and beyond.
We extend our congratulations to Nkosinathi on a great achievement that recognizes an exemplary
contribution to our society.
The 2022 Henry Viscardi Achievement Award (HVAA medal) is the “Nobel Prize” for the global disabilities advocacy.
