About the Author
Author, Calvin Kamogelo Mogajane has authored 3 books, written a stage play, and directed four plays, all this despite being born blind.
He was born in Daveyton, East Rand, Gauteng with glaucoma that lead to him being blind. He has a twin brother called Edwin Mogajane who is fully sighted.
Calvin is 24 years old and already published three books namely; Sebatakgomo (a collection of Sepedi short stories), Mpepumpepu (a collection of Sepedi poems), and lately, Strong Woman, a book that focuses on gender-based violence.
Calvin is the owner of a production company called Macaliland Productions. He is the presenter of two shows namely; It takes a strong woman to forgive on his YouTube channel and a mid-morning show on Tshwane University of Technology radio platform, TUT FM.
On the show ‘It takes a strong woman to forgive’, Calvin is interviews different women who were abused in their marriages and were able to forgive their spouses and other women who were raped and still be able to move on. This show is motivated by his book ‘Strong Woman’
Calvin has also written four stage namely; The soft voice of a peodophile, Oh Lord why Lord?, My Flat-mate and a Sepedi play called Ke lefa laka.
