
Special Olympics South Africa, in collaboration with the Ministry of Women, Youth and Persons with a Disability, are proud to host the 2025 Special Olympics Africa Regional Leadership Conference from 7 to 10 April 2025 at the Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre in Johannesburg.
This major event brings together 120 delegates from 36 African countries, including Special Olympics Board Chairs, National Directors, Athlete Leaders, and Youth Leaders. The conference serves as a vital platform for capacity building, strategic planning, and advancing the inclusion and empowerment of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across Africa.

The conference will officially open with a high-level event on the evening of 7 April.
